I forgot to post this last week: Eight ways to make a difference during Chinese New Year, from Amnesty Australia's website. I thought it was really clever how they have highlighted human rights violations not by completely bagging the Chinese government, but by giving a list of simple things that people can do to make a difference.
The first action is to make your own postcard and send it to China, which is effective and cuts costs for Amnesty. Interestingly, another action is asking people to take part in local festivities.
Anyway, love the concept, love the accompanying photos, I think the team have done a fab job of making this interesting - particularly to people who haven't necessarily done any "activist" activities before :)
