I'm telling you about this one because of the content rather than the use of online trickery ... Save our SBS is an online petition (and supporting information) asking the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts to remove advertising from SBS TV. Not a pretty site, but an effective campaign site none-the-less :)

Corruption breeds even bigger corruption. Commercials are corrupt by their nature. And the proof: dwindling number of viewers of SBS. Dumb TV is available on a multitude of commercial stations. Do not underestimate your niche: it’s not just multicultural foreign language speakers — it’s educated, discerning, upper middle-class who are sick of commercial channels manipulations!!!

We need Mary Kostakidis and SBS INTACT.
I am one of the early supporters and promoters of SBS and my heart bleeds every time I see the tasteless adds. I also greatly miss the “natural” “professional” and “sincere”, feminine face of Mary Kostakidis.
Please, rethink….
