Joel Pringle (ReconciliACTIONnsw) wants to get his education kit on Indigenous issues to the top of relevant Google listings. He's started an event on Facebook and here are the instructions:
On March 6 you need to spend as much time running google searches on any topic or phrase you feel people may use when looking for information that is likely to be contained in the ReconciliACTIONnsw Online Education Kit. Then, click on the link. Again. And again. And many times more.
The more times the Kit is linked to from google, the higher it will appear on their searches in the future. This is one component of the mysterious algorythm that makes google searches so unique. Let's play the system!
The more you click, the easier it is for people to find the Online Education Kit. Easy.
Spread the word.
I'm promoting this because I think it's an interesting way to use the system to your own advantage. Sure, lots of web developers have done this in the past, but I can't remember an activist doing it by promoting it across a social network.
